Basic chords

There are no basic chords. The first chords you learn are grips. When you are comfortable you'll transpose them down the neck and start to understand relations. I.e. x-0-2-2-2-0 => x-x-7-6-5-5. Then you'll learn chords with open strings like Em 0-7-5-0-0-0.

Do not focus to hard on chords you are actually learning, but focus on the grip. If you really need basic chords, Google for F, C, G, D, A and E. Of course these are major chords. The F, C and A/G grips are the most important.
